On optimal stopping problems for matrix-exponential Lévy processes
In this paper, we consider the optimal stopping problems for a general class of reward functions under jump-diffusion processes. Given an American call-type reward function, following the averageing problem approach(see, for example, Alili and Kyprianou [1], Kyprianou and Surya [8], Novikov and Shiryaev [13], and Surya [15] ), we give an explicit formula for solutions of the corresponding avera...
متن کاملDiscounted optimal stopping for maxima of some jump-diffusion processes∗
We present closed form solutions to some discounted optimal stopping problems for the maximum process in a model driven by a Brownian motion and a compound Poisson process with exponential jumps. The method of proof is based on reducing the initial problems to integro-differential freeboundary problems where the normal reflection and smooth fit may break down and the latter then be replaced by ...
متن کاملOn Optimal Sparse-Control Problems Governed by Jump-Diffusion Processes
A framework for the optimal sparse-control of the probability density function of a jump-diffusion process is presented. This framework is based on the partial integro-differential Fokker-Planck (FP) equation that governs the time evolution of the probability density function of this process. In the stochastic process and, correspondingly, in the FP model the control function enters as a time-d...
متن کاملDeviation Inequalities for Exponential Jump-diffusion Processes
In this note we obtain deviation inequalities for the law of exponential jump-diffusion processes at a fixed time. Our method relies on convex concentration inequalities obtained by forward/backward stochastic calculus. In the pure jump and pure diffusion cases, it also improves on classical results obtained by direct application of Gaussian and Poisson bounds.
متن کاملOptimal Stopping Problems for Some Markov Processes
In this paper, we solve explicitly the optimal stopping problem with random discounting and an additive functional as cost of observations for a regular linear diffusion. We also extend the results to the class of one-sided regular Feller processes. This generalizes the result of Beibel and Lerche [Statist. Sinica 7 (1997) 93–108] and [Teor. Veroyatn. Primen. 45 (2000) 657–669] and Irles and Pa...
